"I have had the good fortune to meet and work with so many people confronting difficult circumstances with their body. I have been inspired by their determination, enthusiasm and eagerness to live a joyful life"
When I was in my early thirties I suffered from a herniated disc that led me to use massage therapy for the first time in my life. Several years later, I was considering a career change out of the restaurant industry and decided to pursue training to do body work. Though I studied many modalities, I gravitated toward orthopedic massage techniques. It connected with my own history of back trouble, and also my childhood experience wearing corrective leg braces. (I was severely pigeon toed and had inwardly rotated hips.)
My first job right out of massage school was in a busy personal training studio. Before long, I also became a Certified Personal Trainer. Some of my clients told me about The Egoscue Method. One client lent me a book by Pete Egoscue, who developed this method. I immediately realized this was an innovative and powerful approach to overcoming physical pain and limitations. I began using some of its’ principles with my clients, and quickly saw the results. Soon, I attended one of Egoscue’s outreach seminars. I could see this was what I needed to take my work in a more meaningful direction and more thoroughly help my clients. I enrolled in an Egoscue affiliate training program, became a Posture Alignment Specialist – and “That was all she wrote!”
I am now 22 years into this journey and it was the best decision I could have made for myself and the clients I have served over these many years. I invite you to become one of them.
I live in Santa Rosa, in beautiful Sonoma County, CA. I work with people from the greater North Bay area in person, and also with clients from across the country, and even internationally, via the internet.
